Marine insurance.

The boat, the ship, the marina, the yard, the cargo. Every activity near the sea has its own liability and its own rules. We insure them on international clause terms.

A sector with international rules.

Marine insurance doesn’t work on the terms of ordinary property cover. It’s built on established international clauses (Institute Clauses, Nordic Plan) and separate regimes for the vessel, liability, crew and cargo.

We cover individuals with a pleasure craft, short-sea shipowners, shipyards and technical companies, marinas and tourist ports, and transport and logistics companies.

The covers

What we insure.

We choose the regimes and clauses that match your activity.

  • 01Vessels & ships: Hull & Machinery

Insuring the value of the boat or ship for own damage, on English (ITCH), American (AITCH), German (DTV) or Nordic (Nordic Plan) clauses. Agreed values for high-value vessels and no-claims discounts.

  • 02War risks, piracy & ransom (K&R)

Cover for war risks, terrorism, government detention, plus kidnap of crew or cargo and ransom. Extension to war or high-risk zones, with Loss of Hire cover.

  • 03Shipowner’s liability: P&I

The contractual and non-contractual obligations of short-sea shipowners, together with legal assistance and defence.

  • 04Marine-services liability

Shipyards, technical and diving companies, agents, classification societies, surveyors: general & professional liability, Care, Custody & Control, consequential financial losses and sub-contractor liability.

  • 05Marinas, tourist ports & ports

Public and legal liability for mooring, haul-out/launch, fuel, storage, maintenance and catering; “all-risks” cover for infrastructure, port installations and auxiliary craft.

  • 06Carrier & freight-forwarder liability

Contractual liability in international (CMR) and national road transport (Law 3887/2010), and under the international conventions (COTIF/CIM, Hague-Visby, Montreal).

  • 07Crew & cargo in transit

Crew of any nationality on ships of any flag, and cargo insurance worldwide, with Open Cover / Block Policies and solutions for hazardous cargo.

  • 08Pleasure craft (private & commercial)

Compulsory third-party liability under Law 4926/2022, and optionally hull and engine own damage, theft, legal protection and racing cover, on Institute Yacht Clauses.

How we help

Three steps.

  1. 01.

    Mapping the activity & contracts

What vessels or facilities you have, which services you offer, and what charters, banks and flag registries require.

  2. 02.

    Choosing clauses & limits

We pick the clause set (English, Nordic, etc.), the agreed values and the liability limits that fit.

  3. 03.

    Support at claim & survey

Losses at sea are complex. We stand by you through notification, surveyors and settlement.

For individuals

Own a pleasure craft?

Compulsory third-party liability is the starting point. Beyond it, the hull, the engine, the equipment and your liability to others are matched to the value and the use of your own boat.

Tell us what you own, where you cruise and who handles the boat. We put a cover proposal together around that.
