Construction & technical works.
Every project is a temporary factory with new risks: materials under construction, heavy plant, subcontractors and third parties passing next to the site.
Cover per project and per company.
You need two layers: an all-risks policy for each project (C.A.R. for construction, E.A.R. for erection), and a company programme covering plant, fleet, public and employer’s liability across all sites.
Most tenders and bank financing require specific minimum covers and bonds. We check them before the bid goes in.
What we examine
A technical project’s exposures.
- Contractors’ all risks (C.A.R.)The works themselves, materials and labour during construction: natural events, error, theft.
- Erection all risks (E.A.R.)Installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Site liabilityDamage to third parties and neighbouring properties from the works: excavation, falling objects, vibration.
- Plant & site equipmentCranes, excavators, scaffolding and tools, on and off site.
- Employer’s liabilityAccidents to employees and subcontractors beyond state benefits.
- Maintenance periodCover for defects appearing after handover, during the contractual warranty period.
How we help
Three steps, per project.
- 01.
Reading the contract
We identify the required covers, limits and bonds the project owner asks for.
- 02.
Issue before commencement
We make sure the policy is active before the first machine enters the site.
- 03.
Tracking the schedule
Extensions and project changes are reflected in the policy immediately.
And for the team
Group cover for technical staff.
Accident and health cover for engineers, foremen and crews, adjustable per project.
